I was disappointed with this book. It's not actually sugar-free. The recipes contain loads of sugary fruits and ingredients, such as bananas and maple syrup. This is not a book for people who actually desire to be "Sugar-free" and many of the recipes don't seem to be very detox-related at all. They contain starches, oats, wheat, meat, fried stuff and corn starch. It seems like this read is convenient for people who are maybe addicted to white sugar and can't actually give up their addiction, but want to feel like they are quitting sugar. This book might be helpful for the most unhealthy, fast-food eating, overweight people out there, but it most likely wouldn't be up to the standards of people who are already into taking care of themselves.
